I was looking through our vaction pictures, one stood out above all the others.
The funny thing is … it’s not a shot of my kids at Disneyland. It’s not them enjoying the hotel pool. It’s not so much a vacation photo at all. It’s a quiet moment shared between the best of friends.
On our flight to California Shelby took over care of Cooper at one point and showered her little brother with love and attention. In this quiet moment, with not a single word shared, it was clear that these two souls share a connection that no one else will ever understand. The depth of their love is inmeasureable. And to think, there was a time I thought they wouldn’t be close and worse yet, Shelby would harbor feelings of jealousy and resentment for Cooper. Instead, they have become the very best of friends.
As I watch these two together, I can’t help but think of my siblings. Earlier tonight I noticed I had a missed call. There was a message from my little brother. Mind you, he’s not that little anymore. But there was a time I changed his diapers, so he’ll always be little to me. The messages was short and sweet. He was just calling to check on Cooper and make sure he was on the mend.
My heart swelled when I heard his voice and as I type this tears are streaming down my cheeks. I am so loved. There are people all over the world pulling for me. Loving me. Thinking great thoughts all about me. What a blessing it is to have a family who loves you and supports you. I forget that some times. But I am reminded oh so quickly when my sister swoops in to save the day or when one of my brothers calls to offer good cheer. I used think having so many siblings meant you got lost in the shuffle. But know I know better. It means you are surrounded by a circle of warmth.
What a blessing it is that my children now have the same thing. No matter hat happens, I know that Shelby and Cooper will travel through this world together as team, forever united by their blood and deep love for each other.
I love … all of the wonderful women who applied to be on our design team. I am beyond impressed with their talent and creativity. This is going to be one tough decision. I have enjoyed looking at all your blogs and have been inspired by your stories and work. Thank you for sharing a bit of yourself with Crazy Daisy. We are honored.
I love … crafting with my daughter. Last week, when I was suppose to be doing something else. Ya know what I mean. Something grown-up like work, clean, or make dinner … my daughter wanted to craft. She can craft all day and all night if I let her. She loves all things crafty. So I said the heck with grown-up responsibilities, I was going to enjoy my child. This is what Shelby and I made. A princess flag banner as she calls it. She now has a princess bed (at least that’s what she told me!). The flags were made from patterned paper. We used ribbon to sting the flags. And we accented each end with fabric flowers. The flowers are just layered fabric flowers (cut some out with your Cricuit), sewed together and completed with a button in the middle. I had planned on using these two flowers to make Shelby some hair clips, but she had other ideas!
I love … this smile. Need I say more? My Cooper is 10-months-old now and is a doll. He wakes up with a smile. Goes to bed with a smile. And never stops smiling all day long. I love this little angel and am so blessed to be his mama.
I love … to give stuff away. I honor of Valentine’s Day we want to give you some goodies. We have 7 Gypsies Binderie tool, along with a Crazy Daisy Scrapbooking bag and other crafty goodies. Tell us something you love. Anything. We want to hear all about ALL the things you love.

My husband shared this video last night. We watched it with headphones on, just like the people in the video. Seriously, so heartwarming. Watch it with someone you love.
I never scap about my husband; well, that’s not completely true. I do include him in many scrapbooking pages when it pertains to his role as a father. However, I’m horrible about scrapbooking things that have to do with me, him or our relationship. I focus solely on our daughter, which though she’s adorable, doesn’t tell our whole story.
When looking at the February main kit, I felt inspired to talk about love. I wanted to scrap about my husband and how much I love him. The funny thing is he was absolutely thrilled when I showed him the pages. I guess I didn’t realize how left out he’s been in the process of sharing our family’s story. Now, he’s not only showing up in my scrapbook pages, but he’s the star! I think this month would be a good time to scrap about things you love. We all love our children, but let’s try to think outside the box. How about our favorite books? Or the foods we love? Or the friends we lean on?
I’m about to start a page (using items from all three February kits, of course) on what I love about my new home town. We’ve lived her for almost two years now, and we’re still amazed each day by what a great and really cool place it is. I also want to do a page with pictures of me and Jennifer through the years. When we were preparing this site, we looked through tons of old pictures of ourselves when we were teenagers. So many good memories! I want to take some of the best ones we found and put together a page with them. See, there are two pages about things I love and neither one feature my little girl! What about you? What do you love? What can you scrap about that’s different than you normally do? Post a comment, we want to know. And maybe, just maybe, I have a prize for you.
Well, February is already here and it’s time for a new kit. This month’s kits are crammed full of some of the cutest scrapbooking supplies out there. You won’t be disappointed. And of course, since February is the month of love there are lots of reds, pinks and adorable hearts. This month’s album is beyond cute, and you can’t find it anywhere else. I used mine to showcase love letters my litle girl writes to me … she’s almost five and loves to make me cards, umm like every day!
Be on the look out for some samples from the February kits. We’ve put together some wonderful pages and a few Valentine’s Day-themed projects. Plus, I’ll show you what I did with the album, which comes with the main kit.
Check back for ideas, contests and all sorts of scrapbook related posts. If you haven’t left a comment on the previous post, do it! I have a great prize package to give away and would love to give it to you.
