Another peek

Posted on by crazydaisy

We have a brand new kit we’re introducing in November: Add-on with a Kick.

We know that some of you out there are looking a a kit that has a little less than our crammed-packed (and extremely wonderful) Main Kit, so we came up with the Add-on with a Kick Kit.  There are plenty of supplies in this kit to create multiple layouts, cards, or any sort of paper crafting project. It has lots of fun embellishments. And will always feature a cute set of alphas.

Without further ado … here’s a little peek at our very first Add-on with a Kick Kit:

Also new for November is the addition of a Paper Kit. The Paper Kit coordinates with all the kits we’re offering for November and will give you additional crafting options with 12 sheets of awesome patterned and specialty paper.

November's Paper Kit: It has a real cozy, fall sort of feel.

Ooh la la,Celine

By now you have your September kit in hand and are crafting away. Here’s what the amazing Celine Navarro did with her kit. Be inspired! I know I was/am by her work .

I love the color.

I love the paint.

I love the boldness.

I love what she did with the teardrop shaped chipboard pieces. How clever is that?

I just love Celine (I mean come on, how can you not lover her work? And her wonderful French name? I love that too. )

P.S. I have some more photos to share from Celine. Detailed shots of all her layouts. I’m having some technical issues (which also might just be me being tired, sick and ready for bed!). Once I resolves those I promise to share.

More August Layouts …

As promised, here are another batch of layouts using the August 2009 Main scrapbooking kit. These layouts are courtesy of Jackie, who recently joined our design team. We’re so excited to have Jackie on our team and love what she’s done with the August kit.

“I sanded the chipboard butterfly in the circle and then paper pierced all the way around it….and tied knots of thread to add some texture.”

“The big butterfly is a link from the mini book. I also added half of the cute overlay from the kit on the butterfly!”

“If you look at the ribbon you can see I applied some of the rub ons right on the ribbon to dress it up a bit.”

“I used the other half of the overlay as a pocket to hold my journaling card.”

We’re so excited to introduce you all to the fifth member of our fantastic design team, Jackie Laing. She’ll be making her Crazy Daisy debut with our August kit, so make sure you check back to see all of her wonderful creations. Until then, here’s a little bit about Jackie.

bloggggggggggperfect-size-picccccccccc“Hi, I am Jackie! I live in The Peace Country, BC Canada with my wonderful Husband Greg, and our beautiful daughter Sasha. I work full time as a creative writer for a Radio and Television Station. I have always loved crafts! When I was younger I would make collages from my teen magazines and plaster them all over my bedroom door! And about four years ago I stumbled across scrapbooking when I made a scrapbook of my wedding … I was instantly addicted!

Scrapbooking is my creative outlet that keeps me grounded. When I am not scrapbooking I love to spend time with my wonderful family, read, blog and play wii! I am honoured to be part of the Crazy Daisy DT, and I look forward to getting to know all of you. As we share our love of scrapping, and make some beautiful creations along the way!”

1. I can’t imagine my life without … Of course my family and friends and also SCRAPBOOKING! It is a huge stress reliever! It relaxes and excites me all at the same time! And it is a great way to spend a Friday night with my teenage daughter … I love having Mother-Daughter Scrap Nights!

2. My least favorite chore is … cleaning the bathroom and grocery shopping!

3. I would love to win a shopping spree to … a cool Scrapbooking store/online store, like Crazy Daisy Kit Co. Plus That Girls Fashion, it is a cute little local store that has the cutest clothes and purses!

4. My must have treat and music when scrapbooking is … extreme cheddar goldfish crackers and Reese pieces! I know it sounds weird, but the sweet and salty combo tastes amazing! So yummy! And I love listening to Country music! Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood or Sugar Land…I think my addiction comes from working at a Country Music Radio Station!

5. When scrapbooking, I love to use … unique embellishments and cool items from around the house, I love scrapping “GREEN” and using nontraditional items on my scrapbook projects! And of course I can never have to many buttons … I have a weakness for buttons!

6. My favorite creative project is … making mini books hands down! They are fun to make and are the perfect gift for family and friends!

7. I thought I would never … be a creative writer, and write commercials for a living! I am blessed to have a job that I truly love!

8. My worst habit is … biting my nails and drinking to much pop! I am trying to break both of these bad habits.

9. If I were a superhero, my super-power would be … to freeze time for myself, and anyone else I choose! This way I can have unlimited time to scrap, and spend time with my family!

10. You would never guess it, but I … am a closet Beanie Baby collector! I have over 110 Beanies! I love these little cuties filled with beans! My favourites are Peanut and the Bride and Groom Bear!

And the winners are …

Thank you all so much for your great comments. We’re gonna use them to make our kits even better than they already are!

The winners of the Crazy Daisy scrapbooking bags with some yummy goodies inside are:

Stephanie S:

“I’m always looking for kits to provide that one item that is fun and unique and that I wouldn’t always pick up at a store — But that somehow when it is with all the other kit pieces I find I can’t live without that one special ‘thing.’ “

Jenn F:

“Stamps are always fun and I can never get enough ribbon :)

Lynette C:

“I would love to see stamp as part of the monthly kit. I love scrapbooking and stamping and it nice have a piece from each month that can be used again and again. But I hope that with the additional of a stamp price of the kit would not increase and other components will not be reduced.

One of my favorite things to do is surf craft blogs. When my hubby and kiddos are asleep, you’ll often find me sitting on my computer looking for inspiration. I love to read about what people are doing, how they’re doing it and come up with ways to incorporate their techniques into my crafting. There are so many talented people out there, which blogger do you find the most inspiring? Leave a comment and tell us who you’re checking out these days.
