A few days late …

Posted on by crazydaisy

I was planning on posting some more layouts I created with the March kit … and then this little thing called labor got in the way. It was a false alarm, but I did spend quite a bit of time in the hospital, so I didn’t get a chance to post my layouts!

But I’m back home now and just itchin’ to share my work! I did a two-page spread using the March Main kit. Pretty much everything is from the kit, except I used some paint on the page and added an additional piece of card stock from my stash.

I love how bright these pages are. I’m really into yellow and orange right now, and that’s clearly reflected on these pages. The fun thing about these pages are I didn’t actually design them. Let me explain. I had all the elements I wanted to use sitting on the page. I was giving the page a final looked before I secured everything to the page. That’s when my 4-year-old came over and rearranged everything. The final product? A much more appealing page. I left it exactly as she arranged it and she gets complete design credit! So there you go, my 4-year-old has a great eye for design.

I was going to add a few more embellishmentsto both pages (I  can never stop!!!), but my husband declared them done and I went ahead a listen to him. Scrapbooking is a family process in my house.

Tonight while we watch March Madness games, I’m going to use this month’s album to create a little book for the new baby. I sort of envision it as a way to introduce him to all his family. It will be simple with a picture of each us and who we are. Then when I’m rocking him, I can show him who all the people who love him are. I also thought it would be fun for my daughter to read to him, since it will be so simple for her to show him the pictures and tell him who’s who.

Check back on Monday for a giveaway. We have the most adorable Crazy Daisy scrapbooking bags and we’d like to give a few away with some special little trinkets inside. Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Kimberly
