Monday, February 15th, 2010

We love our Crazy Daisy blog readers.

It was so much fun to read about the things that you ladies love. It definitely reminded me of how full and blessed our lives are. You ladies rock!

Without further ado, our giveaway winner is …

Heather Innusa who said,

“I love my husband, 2 babies (1 & 4 and a half).
I looooove being crafty!! I love scrapbooking & making mini books and gifts/invitations for friends & family.
I love God, Jesus and my Church. I love my bible study group (5 couples like us) – just learning to follow the Lord.
I also think I love scrapbook ‘blog surfing’… I may actually have a problem at this point!! I love life, even though it’s so unpredictable and trying sometimes.”

We also have another winner. When we read all the comments ant went through all the mails you ladies sent us, we saw a bit of a theme. Sophia Allison did an amazing job getting people to our site. Sophia, you’re awesome. We appreciate your blog and getting lots of people to ours. As a thanks you, we’re going to send you some goodies as well.

Heather and Shopia, can both you ladies send me an email with your address so we can ship all this crafty goodness to you?

Have a wonderful Monday. Check back tomorrow for our Design Team announcement!

I love …. giveaways

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I love … all of the wonderful women who applied to be on our design team. I am beyond impressed with their talent and creativity. This is going to be one tough decision. I have enjoyed looking at all your blogs and have been inspired by your stories and work. Thank you for sharing a bit of yourself with Crazy Daisy. We are honored.

I love … crafting with my daughter. Last week, when I was suppose to be doing something else. Ya know what I mean. Something grown-up like work, clean, or make dinner … my daughter wanted to craft. She can craft all day and all night if I let her. She loves all things crafty. So I said the heck with grown-up responsibilities, I was going to enjoy my child. This is what Shelby and I made. A princess flag banner as she calls it. She now has a princess bed (at least that’s what she told me!). The flags were made from patterned paper. We used ribbon to sting the flags. And we accented each end with fabric flowers. The flowers are just layered fabric flowers (cut some out with your Cricuit), sewed together and completed with a button in the middle. I had planned on using these two flowers to make Shelby some hair clips, but she had other ideas!

I love … this smile. Need I say more? My Cooper is 10-months-old now and is a doll. He wakes up with a smile. Goes to bed with a smile. And never stops smiling all day long. I love this little angel and am so blessed to be his mama.

My children visiting Santa

My children visiting Santa

It’s a little crazy at my house. Crazy good, but still crazy.

I have been up to my eye balls in work and have traveled to Canada more times than I’d like (not that I don’t like Canada, it’s just that I’d rather be a home!).

But through all the craziness, we’ve been getting ready for Christmas.

I wrapped more presents today. My daughter and I made the most adorable card for her teacher. Even with her directing most of the process, she’s five, it turned out super cute.

I made some ornaments that feature pictures of my kiddos. I’ve been meaning to make these snowflake picture ornaments for years, but just got around to it. Now I want to make tons of them. They were easy to make and are just adorable.

Last night I addressed what seemed like a million Christmas cards and I’m happy to say they’ve all be mailed and are on their way to points across the globe. I’m notorious for mailing my Christmas cards after Christmas, so I’m quite proud of myself.

At the end of this week we head to Atlanta. I have a company Christmas party to attend and we’re going to squeeze in a quick visit with some family and a tour of the Biltmorein Asheville, NC.

Then it’s home for the final dash … cookies to bake, presents to wrap, gifts to finish making (I’m making a lot of things this year and they’re all in various stages of completion!).

There are still a few December Main Kits available, so make sure you order yours now. If you head on over to Stacy Julian’s blog you can enter for a chance to win our December Main Kit. She will be closing her contest today, so get on over there … fast.

Don’t forget we won’t be having a January 2010 Kit, we’re taking a much needed break and will be headed to CHA to shop for future kits! So, do as much shoppng now, while we are still open for biz.

We’re looking for more Facebook fans and Twitter followers. If you click on one o those buttons on our page and become our fan or follower, we’ll give you $5 off your next order. Tell a friend and we’ll give you another $5 off. Just mention Facebook or Twitter in the comments of your order and I’ll refund you $5.

Hope you’re having a wonderful December; stay warm; and stop to enjoy the season!

Help!

baby-foodOkay, so this has absolutely nothing to do with scrapbooking. It might have to do with crafting, but that really depends on you.

My baby, Cooper, is eating baby food these days. I’ve been buying the organic baby food and on the label of every jar it says “Please recycle.” So, I feel super bad every time I toss one of these jars. I know, silly …  but I do!

So, is there some sort of fun craft I could do with these? I’ll be feeding him food from a jar for at least another four or five months, so it would be fun to come up with a creative way to reuse the jars. Maybe I could turn them into a gift of some sort or even a toy for Shelby (my five-year-old) or something I can use to entertain Coop.

Any ideas? If you can’t think of one, then ask a friend. Please leave a comment and help me! In fact, how about I offer up a prize. I’ll randomly select a winner from the comments and send them one of our cool new grab bags. So tell a friend. I’ll pick a winner Monday night (Oct. 26).

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Thank you all so much for your great comments. We’re gonna use them to make our kits even better than they already are!

The winners of the Crazy Daisy scrapbooking bags with some yummy goodies inside are:

Stephanie S:

“I’m always looking for kits to provide that one item that is fun and unique and that I wouldn’t always pick up at a store — But that somehow when it is with all the other kit pieces I find I can’t live without that one special ‘thing.’ “

Jenn F:

“Stamps are always fun and I can never get enough ribbon :)

Lynette C:

“I would love to see stamp as part of the monthly kit. I love scrapbooking and stamping and it nice have a piece from each month that can be used again and again. But I hope that with the additional of a stamp price of the kit would not increase and other components will not be reduced.
